Cookie Policy
1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites work or work more efficiently, and to provide information to website operators.
Similar technologies include local storage, session storage, and tracking pixels. This policy uses the word "cookies" to refer to all such technologies.
2. How we use cookies
The Hanium website (hanium.app) uses a small number of cookies and local-storage entries for the following purposes:
- Strictly necessary: required for basic site operation, such as remembering your cookie-consent choice and your selected theme (light or dark mode).
- Analytics (optional): privacy-first analytics to understand which pages people find useful. Only used if you have given consent. No advertising, no cross-site tracking, no profiling.
We do not use cookies for advertising, behavioral retargeting, or social-media integration.
3. Cookies and storage we set
| Name | Purpose | Type | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| hanium-theme | Stores your light/dark mode preference | Necessary | Persistent (local storage) |
| hanium-cookie-consent | Records your cookie-consent choice | Necessary | Persistent (local storage) |
If you accept analytics, our analytics provider may set additional cookies. These are documented in the provider's documentation and can be cleared from your browser at any time.
4. Third-party cookies
The Hanium website does not embed third-party content that sets advertising or social-media cookies. We do not use Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, or similar tools.
Our mobile applications do not use web cookies. They may interact with Apple's platform identifiers (such as IDFA) only when explicitly authorized through Apple's App Tracking Transparency framework — and only for limited operational purposes, not for advertising.
5. Your choices
You can:
- Accept or decline non-essential cookies through the consent banner on our website
- Change your choice later by clearing local storage in your browser
- Configure your browser to refuse cookies (note: parts of the site may not function correctly)
- For mobile apps: manage tracking permissions in your device's privacy settings and manage notification preferences within each app
If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, non-essential cookies are not set until you have explicitly consented. You may withdraw consent at any time.
6. Do Not Track
Some browsers send a "Do Not Track" signal. Because there is no industry standard for how to respond to such signals, we do not currently respond to them. We do, however, honor the cookie-consent choice you make on our site, which has the same effect.
7. Changes to this policy
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. If material changes are made, we will re-prompt for consent where required.
